The picture you see was taken on a hot August day in 2021. We had no idea what was in store in the days to come, but we knew there were people in Oklahoma who needed help. Three and a half years have flown by. In that time we have formed some deep friendships, helped people get stronger and more fit and dreamed about what the future held for the 34 Project. We recently found out that our lease is not going to be renewed. While this news wasn’t a complete shock, the reality of having to relocate brings a new chapter of adventure. We have loved helping people out at 3818 N. Rockwell. I will carry memories of that building for the rest of my life.
I have lived long enough to know that change brings the temptation to view the situation as a glass half empty. Moving is expensive, time consuming and inefficient. These are rabbit holes one can dive down and get overwhelmed pretty quick. However, we choose to remember where we have come from and who has got us where we are today. We started the 34 Project with nothing and God plowed the way. He is still in the plowing business. A long time mentor of mine frequently said, “Change creates an opportunity to get better.” So the search is on. We believe God has the perfect space waiting for us. My prayer is we will have our eyes open to see it. Maybe God is tapping you on the shoulder to be a part of this adventure. Maybe you know someone or about some place that just might lead to our new home. God loves to use people in His plans so they can be part of the blessing.
Stay tuned! Exciting news is coming! We look forward to updating everyone about the next chapter of the 34 Project adventure!
