On October 23, 2015, during a high school football game in Blanchard, Oklahoma, Hudson Haws sustained a life changing spinal cord injury. Following this tragic incident, he received intensive inpatient rehabilitation treatment at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where he would remain for several months. It wasn’t until January 2016 that Hudson would finally return home to Bethany to begin rebuilding his life.

Over the past several years, Hudson has dedicated himself to rigorous physical therapy and training. However, the most impactful progress came from active therapy facilities beyond Oklahoma. Private active therapy would become instrumental in Hudson’s advancements, surpassing the results seen during years of insurance-sponsored treatments.

Motivated by their experience, Hudson and his father Tim embarked on a new venture. They established ‘The 34 Project,’ a private adaptive fitness and strength training center. Their aim was to create additional opportunities for individuals with restricted access, providing a supportive environment for their journey toward improved fitness and strength.
